Duke Ellington Orchestra
The Duke Ellington Orchestra was an American jazz orchestra led by pianist, composer and bandleader Duke Ellington.
The ensemble was one of the most important jazz orchestras of the twentieth century.
Its repertory centred on Ellington’s own compositions and arrangements, as well as the individual voices of its players.
