Henry Holst (1899-1991) was a Danish violinist, concertmaster and chamber musician. He became associated with British musical life after serving as leader of the Berlin Philharmonic in the 1920s.

In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Dvořák and Beethoven piano trios with Louis Kentner, Solomon and Anthony Pini.

Holst’s playing belonged to a cultivated chamber tradition, where elegance, leadership and balance matter as much as overt solo display.
