Bloch
Ernest Bloch (1880-1959) was a Swiss-born American composer whose music is marked by spiritual intensity, strong architecture and a deeply personal sense of identity. Born in Geneva, he studied in Europe before settling in the United States, where he became an influential teacher and musical figure.
