John Baker was a singer represented in the Pristine catalogue through the Metropolitan Opera’s 1945 broadcast of Verdi’s Rigoletto with Jussi Björling, Leonard Warren and Bidú Sayão.

His catalogue appearance places him within a major Met wartime opera document conducted by Cesare Sodero.

Because wider public biographical detail is limited, this entry is kept close to the recording evidence.

This page gives a securely identified supporting artist a modest marker in the Björling-Verdi strand.
