John Brownlee
John Brownlee (1900-1969) was an Australian baritone, one of the important opera singers of the interwar and post-war periods. He was closely associated with the Metropolitan Opera and with French repertory.
In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Gounod and Johann Strauss, including Metropolitan Opera broadcasts with Jussi Björling, Bidú Sayão and Lily Pons.
