Sousa
John Philip Sousa (1854-1932) was an American composer and conductor, known worldwide as the “March King.” Born in Washington, D.C., he led the United States Marine Band before forming his own touring band.
His works include The Stars and Stripes Forever, Semper Fidelis, The Washington Post, Liberty Bell and many other marches, as well as operettas and songs.
