Artur Rubinstein is a spelling variant of Arthur Rubinstein (1887-1982), the Polish-born American pianist whose long career made him one of the most beloved keyboard artists of the twentieth century.

Rubinstein was celebrated above all in Chopin, Brahms, Schumann and Spanish music, and also left important concerto and chamber recordings. The fuller artist entry appears under Arthur Rubinstein.

His playing combined warmth, rhythmic ease, tonal generosity and a rare sense of naturalness. He could make a phrase sound inevitable without making it sound routine.

This page is kept as a useful cross-reference for products using the Artur spelling rather than as a separate artist identity.
