Alfred Poell
Alfred Poell (1900-1968) was an Austrian baritone, closely associated with Vienna and with post-war German-language repertory. He sang opera, concert music and Lieder, and appeared in important recordings and broadcasts.
In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Furtwängler’s 1953 Rome Ring, part of one of the great Wagner broadcast documents of the period.
