Audrey Mildmay

Audrey Mildmay (1900-1953) was an English soprano, closely associated with the early Glyndebourne Festival. She married John Christie, Glyndebourne’s founder, and was an important part of the festival’s formative musical life.

In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Fritz Busch’s pioneering Glyndebourne Le nozze di Figaro, one of the landmark Mozart opera recordings of the 1930s.
