Roy Henderson was a Scottish baritone, admired in opera, oratorio and song. He was also an important teacher, later associated with Kathleen Ferrier.

In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Fritz Busch’s Glyndebourne recording of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro.

Henderson’s singing brought clarity, style and firm British vocal craft to a landmark early Glyndebourne Mozart document.

His page is justified by secure identity and catalogue context. Henderson gives the Glyndebourne Mozart shelf a cultivated baritone line.
