Wilhelm Strienz
Wilhelm Strienz was a German bass, active in opera, concert and song repertory during the first half of the twentieth century.
In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Beecham’s 1937-38 recording of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, with Erna Berger, Gerhard Hüsch, Helge Rosvaenge and Berlin Philharmonic forces.
Strienz’s singing brought depth, clarity and German style to Mozart’s ensemble world.
