Thompson

Randall Thompson (1899-1984) was an American composer and teacher, especially known for choral music. Born in New York, he studied at Harvard and later taught at several major institutions.

His works include symphonies, songs, piano pieces and a large body of choral music. Alleluia became his most famous work and remains central to American choral repertory.
