Rosina Raisbeck
Rosina Raisbeck was an Australian contralto, active in opera, concert and oratorio repertory. She became especially associated with British musical life and dramatic lower-voice roles.
In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Beecham’s Delius recordings, including A Mass of Life and the Hassan Suite.
Raisbeck’s singing brought depth, firmness and choral-symphonic discipline to large-scale British repertory.
