Cesare Siepi
Cesare Siepi (1923-2010) was an Italian bass, one of the great operatic basses of the twentieth century. Born in Milan, he became famous at La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera and other major houses.
Siepi was especially celebrated as Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and also excelled in Verdi, Gounod, Mussorgsky and Italian bass repertory. In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Mozart, Gounod and other major performances.
