Josef Wolfsthal (1899-1931) was an Austrian violinist, one of the most gifted players of his generation. His career was cut tragically short, but his recordings preserve a major talent.

In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Beethoven and Mozart violin concertos with conductors including Frieder Weissmann and Manfred Gurlitt.
