Pearl Kaufman was an American pianist and studio musician, active in concert, film and television recording. She worked in the flexible Los Angeles musical world of the mid-twentieth century.

In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Robert Craft’s 1960 stereo Berg recordings with Columbia Symphony Orchestra forces.

Kaufman’s role reflects the high-level studio craft required by modern repertory, where precision, rhythm and ensemble alertness are essential.
