Elisabeth Grümmer
Elisabeth Grümmer (1911-1986) was a German soprano, admired for Mozart, Wagner, Strauss and sacred music. She became one of the most beloved lyric-dramatic sopranos of the post-war German tradition.
In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Bach and Wagner with Furtwängler, including the 1953 Rome Ring cycle and the St Matthew Passion.
