Alfredo Campoli
Alfredo Campoli (1906-1991) was an Italian-born British violinist, often known simply as Campoli. He became one of Britain’s most popular and technically polished violinists of the mid-twentieth century.
His repertory ranged from salon pieces and virtuoso showpieces to concertos by Saint-Saëns, Elgar, Bliss and others. In the Pristine catalogue he appears in both British and French repertory.
