Bach J C
Johann Christian Bach (1735-1782), youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach, became one of the most cosmopolitan musicians of his age. Born in Leipzig and trained partly by his half-brother C.P.E. Bach, he later moved to Italy, converted to Catholicism and absorbed the melodic elegance of Italian opera.
