Christa Ludwig
Christa Ludwig (1928-2021) was a German mezzo-soprano, one of the greatest singers of the second half of the twentieth century. Her repertory embraced opera, song, oratorio and modern music.
Ludwig was celebrated in Mozart, Wagner, Strauss, Mahler, Beethoven and Schubert, and worked with conductors including Klemperer, Karajan, Bernstein and Böhm. In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Mozart, Beethoven and Bellini.
