Georges Tzipine (1907-1987) was a French violinist and conductor, active in French orchestral and recording life. He became associated with repertory ranging from the classics to modern French music.

In the Pristine catalogue he appears with Marguerite Long in Ravel, Milhaud and Debussy-related recordings.

Tzipine’s conducting, as represented here, belongs to the French tradition of clarity, colour and rhythmic elegance. It supports soloist and repertory without dragging heavy curtains across the window.

His page is justified by secure identity and catalogue context. Tzipine gives this French piano-and-orchestra corner a clean podium line.
