Salvatore Baccaloni
Salvatore Baccaloni was an Italian bass, one of the great comic and character basses of the twentieth century. He was especially admired in Rossini, Donizetti and Italian buffo repertory.
In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia with Riccardo Stracciari and in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore from the Metropolitan Opera.
