Pierné
Gabriel Pierné (1863-1937) was a French composer, organist and conductor. Born in Metz, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire and succeeded César Franck as organist at Sainte-Clotilde.
His works include orchestral music, chamber pieces, piano music, songs, sacred works and stage scores. He was also an important conductor, especially with the Concerts Colonne in Paris.
