Georgine von Milinković (1913-1986) was a Croatian-born mezzo-soprano, active in German and Wagnerian repertory. She sang at Bayreuth and other major houses during the post-war period.

In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Knappertsbusch’s 1956 Bayreuth Ring cycle, including Das Rheingold and Die Walküre.

Her singing belonged to the strong ensemble tradition of Bayreuth, where the lower female voices must supply colour, gravity and dramatic fibre within Wagner’s vast design.

Her page is justified by repeated catalogue appearances in important Wagner documents. Von Milinković adds a dark mezzo thread to the Bayreuth fabric.
