David Soyer (1923-2010) was an American cellist, best known as a founding member of the Guarneri Quartet. He was also active in chamber music before the quartet’s long international career.

In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Fauré chamber music with the Guilet Quartet and associated artists.

Soyer’s playing was grounded, eloquent and deeply ensemble-minded, the kind of cello work that gives chamber music both spine and warmth.
