Blanche Thebom
Blanche Thebom (1915-2010) was an American mezzo-soprano, a major artist at the Metropolitan Opera and an important singer in Wagner, Verdi and French repertory. Born in Pennsylvania, she became one of the leading American dramatic mezzos of her time.
In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Furtwängler’s Tristan und Isolde and in Metropolitan Opera broadcasts, including Verdi’s Aida.
