Franz Klarwein was a German tenor represented in the Pristine catalogue through Eugen Jochum’s 1949 Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.

The performance places him within a Munich Wagner cast led by Hans Hotter, Annelies Kupper, Günther Treptow and Max Proebstl.

Because wider public biographical detail is limited, this note is kept close to the recording evidence and its Bavarian State Opera context.

This page gives a securely identified singer a modest marker in the Munich Wagner strand.
