Enrique Jordá (1911-1996) was a Spanish conductor, active in Europe, Britain and the United States. He became music director of the San Francisco Symphony and was an advocate of Spanish repertory.

In the Pristine catalogue he appears with Clifford Curzon and in Spanish orchestral music by Falla, Albéniz, Granados and Turina.

Jordá’s conducting was colourful, direct and particularly valuable in repertory where rhythm, light and national character matter. He helped carry Spanish music into international concert life.
