Arthur Fiedler’s Sinfonietta

Arthur Fiedler’s Sinfonietta was a small orchestral ensemble conducted by Arthur Fiedler.

The term “sinfonietta” denotes a reduced orchestra, generally suited to chamber-orchestral and lighter concert repertory.

Fiedler was closely associated with Boston musical life and with repertory that joined classical concert practice to broad public appeal.
