Kodály
Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) was a Hungarian composer, ethnomusicologist and teacher. Born in Kecskemét, he became one of the central figures in Hungarian musical culture alongside Béla Bartók.
His works include the opera Háry János, the Psalmus Hungaricus, the Dances of Galánta, the Dances of Marosszék, choral music, chamber works and songs. He also collected and studied folk music extensively.
