Symphony of the Air
Symphony of the Air was an American orchestra formed in 1954 after the disbanding of the NBC Symphony Orchestra.
It was largely made up of former NBC Symphony players and continued as a self-governing ensemble.
The orchestra was active in concert, broadcast and recording work during the 1950s and early 1960s.
