This catalogue entry refers to Hans Pfitzner (1869-1949), the German composer and conductor, here preserved under the misspelled product-tag form “Pfiztner.”

In the Pristine catalogue he appears conducting overtures by Lanner, Lortzing, Mendelssohn, Mozart and Weber in recordings from 1927 to 1933.

Pfitzner’s conducting is historically useful as a document of composer-conductor practice in the early electrical era, even when the repertory is not his own music.

This page is kept as a cautious duplicate-spelling marker, so browsing remains clear across older catalogue tags.
