Gordon Farrell was a British singer represented in the Pristine catalogue through Walton’s Troilus and Cressida under Malcolm Sargent.

The recording is an important British opera document, with a cast including Peter Pears, Magda László, Geraint Evans, Forbes Robinson and Richard Lewis.

Farrell’s contribution belongs to the ensemble fabric of mid-century British opera, where clarity of text and dramatic function are central.

This page is modest but useful, giving a named artist a clear marker in the Walton opera strand.
