Aldeburgh Festival Orchestra

The Aldeburgh Festival Orchestra is an orchestral ensemble associated with the Aldeburgh Festival in Suffolk, founded by Benjamin Britten, Peter Pears and Eric Crozier in 1948.

The festival became an important centre for British music, new works and performance linked to Britten and his artistic circle.

The orchestra name is used for festival orchestral forces rather than a permanent full-time symphony orchestra.
