Victor de Sabata
Victor de Sabata (1892-1967) was an Italian conductor and composer, one of the great conductors of the twentieth century. He was especially associated with La Scala and with a repertory stretching from Wagner and Strauss to Italian opera.
In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Puccini’s Tosca with Maria Callas, Giuseppe di Stefano and Tito Gobbi, and in his Berlin Philharmonic recordings.
