Gré Brouwenstijn

Gré Brouwenstijn (1915-1999) was a Dutch soprano, admired in Wagner, Verdi, Beethoven and Dutch repertory. She became one of the important European dramatic sopranos of the post-war period.

In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Knappertsbusch’s 1956 Bayreuth Ring cycle, including Das Rheingold, Die Walküre and Götterdämmerung.
