For many, the highlight of this third broadcast of Artur Rodziński conducting the NBC Symphony Orchestra, one week before Toscanini's debut on Christmas Day 1937, is likely to be the Brahms Symphony No. 4, the finale of which you can hear online at Pristine Classical and on our YouTube channel here. Before it we hear Haydn's 100th, "Military" Symphony, and the concert is rounded off by the Dance of the Seven Veils from Richard Strauss's Salome.
