FRITZ BUSCH in Copenhagen: Mozart et al

"The performances of Fritz Busch (1890–1951) always had a fresh spirit and a clarity of execution, to which a lightness of touch contributed ... Such disparate spirits as Toscanini and Bernstein have managed the G-Minor Symphony with the same relaxed eloquence" (Fanfare on Busch's Haydn)

This release centres on performances by Fritz Busch with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra of Mozart, including performances of his 36th Symphony and Eine kleine Nachtmusik. There's also an ultra-rare appearance with Rudolf Serkin in the 21st Piano Concerto, as well as shorter works and music by Bach, Dvořák and Weber - including an appearance from Fritz's younger brother, violinist Adolf Busch. A collection to treasure!
