BUSCH Mozart: Così fan tutte

This week we bring you another of the wonderful fruits of our collaboration with the Busch Brothers Archive in Germany - a world first release of the earliest live recording - and only the second full recording ever to be issued - of one of the greatest Classical operas.

When Fritz Busch - undoubtedly one of the greatest operatic conductors of his era - conducted Mozart's Così fan tutte in Stockholm in 1940 it was, in many ways, his Glyndebourne production - recorded by Busch in the studio for the first time by HMV in 1935 - transplanted from wartime England to Sweden's Royal Opera.
