Hilde Rössl-Majdan
Hilde Rössl-Majdan (1921-2010) was an Austrian contralto and mezzo-soprano, admired in Bach, Mozart, Strauss and concert repertory. She became one of the distinctive lower voices of post-war Viennese music.
In the Pristine catalogue she appears in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier under Erich Kleiber.
