Alois Pernerstorfer
Alois Pernerstorfer (1912-1978) was an Austrian bass-baritone, associated with German and Austrian opera in the mid-twentieth century. He sang at major houses including Vienna and appeared in important Wagner and concert recordings.
In the Pristine catalogue he appears in Furtwängler’s 1950 La Scala Ring and in Gluck’s Alceste with Kirsten Flagstad, among other releases.
