Van Beinum conducts Mahler: The Complete Studio Recordings, 1946 – 1956
Eduard van Beinum worked for many years at the Concertgebouw alongside legendary Mahlerian Willem Mengelberg, eventually succeeding him as principal conductor. He also led the London Philharmonic Orchestra for two years in the late 1940s.
The fruits of these associations bring this fabulous collection assembled and restored by Mark Obert-Thorn of van Beinum's complete Mahler studio recordings, made with both orchestras by Decca and Philips.
