STOKOWSKI conducts Brahms' 1st

In this, Pristine's 500th orchestral release, we celebrate Stokowski's 135th birthday with a classic recording that's exactly 90 years old - it also marks 40 years since the death of Leopold Stokowski. That's a lot of anniversaries and numbers!

Stokowski's Philadelphia Orchestra of the late 1920s was perhaps the finest in the world, as these recordings amply testify. In fabulous new transfers for Pristine by the renowned Mark Obert-Thorn they're vital additions to any collection.
