ADOLF BUSCH the composer: Music from Marlboro

This week's release is something of a step sideways for Pristine. After several recent releases of recordings of Adolf Busch as violinist we turn for a moment to another important - yet far more neglected - facet of his musicianship: Busch the composer.

The four chamber music recordings presented here were all recorded at Marlboro Music over the years, the earliest being a performance by Rudolf and Peter Serkin of Busch's Theme and Variations for Two Pianos, dating from the summer of 1961, the most recent a 1982 recording of his Divertimento for Thirteen Instruments. Together the four pieces on offer give the listener a fabulous taste of the music of an incredibly talented musician - who is definitely worth your time and ears!

SCHOENBERG PROMOTION: From 3pm Paris time, Friday 15 July, and for exactly one week, we mark the 71st anniversary of the death of the composer ARNOLD SCHOENBERG with a 10% discount on all our recordings of his music, in download or CD format - the discount is automatic and will be applied at the checkout.
